IT Systems Manager / IT Manager / IT Identity Manager / Identity Management Expert / System Adminstration Team Leader About IT Services End Client - 50,000 Users - NO Travel - Manchester The Directories Team This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the UK's largest Education clients and help deliver the vision to be a world leading Eductation provider by 2020 To support this aim, IT Services has established an ambitious strategic plan that will allow us to further develop our services and become more agile and responsive to the needs of the client. Supporting the delivery of this vision will be the authentication, directory and identity management services managed and developed by Directory Services. You will be working in a team of 8 to provide identity and directory services to over 50,000 users. This role IT Services are looking for a IT Systems Manager or System Adminstration Team Leader to be a part of our Directories Team, to coordinate our activities and develop our directory and account lifecycle management/registration services. You will be expected to be proficient in directory technologies and be familiar with federated authentication services and enterprise level IT identity lifecycle management, with previous leadership experience either at team or project level. In return this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop management skills and work in a large organisation providing enterprise level identity and authentication services. Specific Role Requirements The successful applicant will have: Experience of leading or supervising IT staff in a large operational environment, scheduling works and managing resources. Knowledge and experience of directory technologies including one of Active Directory, NetIQ edirectory, NetIQ IDM, or OpenLDAP and best practice. Knowledge and experience of enterprise level IT identity lifecycle management Familiarity with federated authentication and Identity Provision, SAML, trust frameworks. The University uses Shibboleth extensively. ADFS also under development Knowledge and experience of providing SSO services. The University utilizes Jasig/Apereo CAS. Knowledge of SQL Server, SQL development and application programming in a database environment.
